The planet Uranus has a milky blue appearance, and the sculpture reflects this. It is suspended from two trees and houses seven opaque apertures which allow the light to shine through. The sculpture can be viewed from the main thoroughfare that leads down to the Almondell Country Park visitor centre from the north car park. As the park is now the new home of the original Kirkhill Pillar monument it was very fortuitous, but also and very important, that one of the orbits ran through Almondell Country Park.
